This superb European reproduction Bouillotte lamp, not to be confused with its numerous American adaptations, is an exact copy of the famous Bouillotte lamp created over two hundred years ago for illumination while playing a popular precursor to poker known as "Bouillotte". Although the game is no longer played, the popularity of this elegant lamp remains with examples found in the White House and other homes of distinction. This particular lamp is cast with a 22K gilded finish, has three decorated arms in a floral motif and an ebony and gold shade.
